McDonald's just released its first new McFlurry in quite some time, and let's just say that social media has plenty to say when it comes to the new dessert.

The Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry consists of creamy vanilla soft serve with strawberry flavored clusters and crispy, buttery shortbread cookies. The new McFlurry is a limited-time release, so be sure to act fast if you're hoping to get your hands on one.

Given that the Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry was made available at participating McDonald's restaurants today, social media is filled with people eagerly sharing their thoughts on the new item.

On TikTok, user @munchwithdes revealed that while the Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry is "super good," it's severely lacking when it comes to toppings. We're getting a bit of Dunkin' Breakfast Tacos déjà vu here when it comes to those toppings.

"Remember when McDonald's used to actually mix in the toppings in your McFlurry? Now they just put it at the top. That's trash...This is super good, but I wish I had more toppings. There's no more left. So, if y'all get this make sure y'all ask for extra toppings 'cause they played me," the TikToker complained.

Well, social media has spoken, but what are your thoughts on the new McFlurry?
